Rail traffic in Mumbai's central line was thrown out of gear on Friday after parts of an under construction pipeline fell on a moving suburban train.
The incident happened between Thane and Mulund on the Central Railway's mainline connecting Mumbai CST to Kalyan. As per initial reports, the pipeline along with parts of an under construction bridge connecting Thane East to Thane West suddenly fell on a Kalyan bound suburban train.
Six passengers, who were injured, have been moved to Thane civil hospital but no causalities have been reported as of now. There are also reports some more persons including the motorman are still trapped under the debris.
